Orbis Insurance Services are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (F.S.A) to sell non-investment non-advice insurance products. Orbis employees are unable to give any advice on product selection.
Orbis does have a consultant financial advisor who is able to provide the majority of products and advice about these products should it be required.
Orbis are an administering broker on behalf of their insurers. They use a number of different insurers for both travel and life products in order to provide the client with the best possible policy and service.
Travel Products
Our insurers assess all cases on an individual basis. Individuals with pre-existing medical conditions are required to answer medical questions either on-line or via a telephone medical screening. Relatives are able to answer questions on the insured's behalf as long as they have a good understanding of the condition. Failure to disclose any condition or an aspect of a condition may result in the dismissal of any potential claim. If policies are arranged over the phone the client will receive a copy of the medical questions asked and will be given the opportunity to dispute any discrepancies. Orbis reserve the right to charge a small administration fee in certain circumstances.
Life Products
Orbis Life policies are written in conjunction with a fully completed application form and any requested GP reports. The contract written will be between the client and the insurer. Life policies are written in 'the utmost good faith' and failure to declare a material fact could lead to a policy becoming void or a benefit not being paid.
Orbis Insurance Services are paid a commission for arranging policies and reserve the right to charge a fee in certain circumstances. Before charging a fee Orbis will consult the client.
